Central to my work is a dedication to knowing autism outside the limitations of pathology and deficit-oriented frameworks. My goal is to emphasize the depth and complexity of autistic experiences, seeing them as valuable additions to the wide range of human variation.
At the core of my approach is my belief that neurodiversity is an essential element of our collective human nature, and that genuine inclusivity necessitates us to value and appreciate the distinct viewpoints and abilities of every person, irrespective of their neurotype.
My research aims to enhance the representation of autistic individuals, acknowledging their expertise as rich reservoirs of knowledge regarding their own personal encounters. My goal is to fight prejudices and misconceptions about autism by giving importance to the stories and perspectives of autistic people themselves.
My goal in my line of work is to make a positive impact on society by creating an environment where autistic individuals are given the tools and support to succeed according to their own ideals. I aim to promote a culture that values and appreciates differences instead of attaching negative and stigmatizing language, and where diversity is seen as a valuable asset that fosters creativity and progress.
As an autistic autism researcher, my trajectory has been shaped by a strong desire to understand and elevate the voices of the neurodivergent community. My experiences have been broad, ranging from academic pursuits to advocacy efforts, all of which have contributed to a deeper awareness of neurodiversity.

As an autistic autism researcher, my trajectory has been shaped by a strong desire to understand and elevate the voices of the neurodivergent community. My experiences have been broad, ranging from academic pursuits to advocacy efforts, all of which have contributed to a deeper awareness of neurodiversity.
My academic career began with a desire to grasp the complexities of the the universe through the lenses of physics and mathematics. This foundation paved the way for my move into the field of special education, where I am currently earning a PhD at Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Matthew Zajic, my adviser, has guided me through a variety of research projects focusing on autism, ranging from coding and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to creating participatory collaborations with the autistic community.
My research experiences have helped shape my knowledge of autism from a neurodiversity perspective. My work aims to question conventional narratives and encourage a more inclusive understanding of autism, ranging from investigating autistic children's school experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic to studying autistic representations on TikTok.
Aside from academia, I have actively participated in advocacy and community engagement projects. As CEO and Founder of the Autism and Neurodivergency Advocacy Association, I am committed to advancing the rights and empowerment of autistic people via education, mentoring, and community support activities. I've also worked in advisory roles, providing guidance on neurodiversity in the workplace and contributing to projects that promote inclusion and diversity.
In addition to my academic and advocacy work, I have actively participated in service and professional affiliations aimed at increasing knowledge and acceptance of neurodiversity in academic and larger communities.
Through my experiences, I've come to believe that meaningful progress in autism research and advocacy can only be made by embracing neurodiversity and elevating the voices of autistic people. I am determined to continuing this journey of discovery and advocacy, striving for a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
I blend my expertise as an autistic person and an autism researcher to deliver my services.
Drawing on my considerable experience as an autistic autism researcher and advocate, I deliver intriguing and informative talks that question conventional wisdom and promote a better understanding of neurodiversity.
Whether you are a corporate entity, educational institution, or community organization, my presentation services are tailored to fit your specific requirements while also fostering an inclusive and welcoming culture.
My talks span a broad range of topics, including:
1. Neurodiversity knowledge: I give an overview of neurodiversity and what it means for the understanding of human variance. Participants get a better understanding of the diversity of human cognition and behavior as they investigate the strengths associated with various neurotypes.
2. Developing Inclusive Spaces: I provide practical ideas for developing inclusive spaces that meet the requirements of neurodivergent people. Participants learn how to build a culture of inclusion and belonging for all, including employment adjustments and classroom changes.
3. Identity-First Language: I guide talks about language use and its relationship to identity and self-expression. Participants learn about the power of language in changing perceptions and developing respect by investigating the significance of identity-first language for the autistic community.
4. Building Neurodivergent Teams: I offer advice on how to form and assist neurodiverse teams in the workplace. From recruitment and hiring methods to communication and teamwork, participants learn how to utilize neurodivergent individuals' unique abilities to create innovation and success.
5. Advocacy and Allyship: I help participants become successful allies and advocates for neurodiversity. Participants learn how to make a difference in their organizations and communities by being given tools and resources for promoting inclusion and overcoming stigma.
